Do you have an Instant Pot yet? Besides my Kitchen Aide mixer and Roomba, it’s for sure my favorite gadget I own. And it puts the mixer up for a competition for most versatile.
One of my favorite things to make in my Instant Pot is hard boiled eggs. They are the easiest peeling eggs ever and zero maintenance. No babysitting the boiling water, just set the pot and go do something else.
All you have to do is fill the bottom of the pot with water, enough to cover the bottom and not touch the eggs on the trivet. Use the Manual High Pressure setting, regular store-bought eggs take 3 minutes. For the cute little chicken eggs in the picture, from my favorite neighbor, I lessened it to 2 minutes. Make sure the lid is in the Sealing position and put it on there.
That’s it. It takes about 10 minutes for the Pot to build up pressure, and then 2-3 minutes at high pressure. So no, it’s not ready in only 2-3 minutes, but still super fast, and very easy.
I think I finally have my husband on board with getting chickens this spring! This has literally been years and years of convincing. If you have chickens, what’s some advice so I don’t mess it all up, when I finally get them?? 🐣 🐥 🐓 🥚 🍳
